Romans 13:11-14
I Am Your Order — Almost Skipped Devotions
I almost skipped devotions this morning…I needed an early start to my day… I told myself I’d get back to it in an hour or so when I got things in order. Then that still small voice whispers, “I am your order.” Then the deluge of sorrow and tears began to fall because I knew he was waiting on me; he desired my attention. How dare I place him behind anything. This is my confession. I am nothing without him, I can do nothing without him, I don’t even want to try without him.
Romans Chapter 13 tells me that this is a critical time. It’s already the hour for me to awaken from my spiritual sleep for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. I am to put away the darkness and put on the armor of light. I am to clothe myself with the Lord Jesus Christ.
I and some with me know that the time is short, there is change on the horizon. My soul, my spirit, my mind and my heart needs to prepare and that starts and ends right where I am at this morning.
May HIS kingdom come on earth as in heaven.
My prayer this morning is that I be ready, prepared, watchful and willing to stand like Jesus until the final hour.
My answer to the world this morning is “Don’t you know I must be about my father’s business?” If you are rushing out to some other place that’s calling you this morning, stop. The world will wait or not. Your time with your father is more important than anything the world has for you to do today.
Love, Pam
