Philippians 4

Y'all Got Time for a Story This Morning?

Y’all got time for a story this morning? This week has been a doozy! So much going on, so many things calling for my attention, so many in desperate need of what they don’t have and cannot provide for themselves. Rush, rush, rush!

I got up early, stayed late. Last night it was evident that I had missed out on so much this week. I had not sat in peaceful quietness, had not stayed available to be in his presence. Rushing!

My excuse and apology were preferenced with a big old BUT!!!!! This morning early, I repented, truth was I had not made the time. I was too busy. God was not happy with me and he made himself known.

I let the dogs out early and crawled back into my bed. I don’t do that, ever! I dreamed. I was on the steps of a little church?? building and I am pushing people up the steps, saying “Hurry! You don’t want to miss this.” I pushed the last one through the door and it closed. I am left standing on the porch, no way to get into what I was so desperate for everyone else to experience. I missed it.

I hopped out of bed, did not have any desire to stay there one more second. Literally sick to my stomach. How did I get here?

God began to speak, not in words. He took control of my social media, my searches for scripture tuned into lessons. Every single post that came over my feed was aimed at me. Most of the time I am scrolling through junk, not today! That’s how I know it was HIM! He was not allowing anything to be a distraction, not one single thing.

When he was done and my heart was contrite, remorseful, ashamed and repentant. He left me with instructions, a letter written in love.

Philippians chapter 4. I’ve gone back 3 times and reread it this morning. Might do it again. I don’t want to miss a thing he has for me.

Just a word of warning… my goal is to get in the door, secure my place. It is not to shove anyone through the door. We can walk through hand in hand, or I will hold that door open as long as I can for you to get here. My hope is that we will stand side by side but that’s up to you.

p.s. It WAS a really good week I just wonder how much better it would have been if I hadn’t been in such a rush. Sunday is here and so is my Father and I can’t wait!!

Love, Pam
