Colossians 1:9-14
Are You a Praying Follower of Jesus?
Are you a praying follower of Jesus? No really, do you earnestly fervently pray? Is it such a part of your life that you do it intentionally and spontaneously, without even thinking about it?
If so, then would you pray for me, for us throughout your day? If you don’t know quite what to pray for then may I suggest Colossians Chapter 1: 9-14For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding…. There have been a few (very) that throughout my life have been people who I didn’t mind asking to pray for me, good times or bad. Most of them have gone on to their rewards and I am sure they were magnificent.
My Granddaddy Haywood prayed and God heard him, My Aunt Doris prayed and her prayers were answered, My Uncle Emory placed his hands on my head and touched the hem of Jesus’ garments, My Uncle Robert could always be counted on to really pray for me. I love the prayers Jim Tooley prays, simple to the point, and I know the heavens listen when he prays. None of them prayed big loud flowery prayers, they simply told God what the problem was and placed it and me at his feet.
I don’t pray out loud nor in public and my prayers are so very simple, to the point. He’s God I don’t need to polish those prayers just present them. I am a firm believer that the key is simply asking.
I pray for you. Sometimes it’s good to know that someone is fervently praying for you. No matter what your situation is today, good, bad or seemingly hopeless know that I am and will be praying for you. I’d love to know that you will be praying for me, too.
Love, Pam
