Colossians 3:17

How Good Are You at Being Compassionate, Kind, Humble, Gentle and Patient?

How good are you at being compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and patient? Are you gracious (good tempered) willingly forgiving? I get frustrated, aggravated, I am not the gentlest person I know, I will forgive but it might take me a minute. I definitely struggle with patience. Know what I have found to help me with all these character flaws? Love. We are told to wrap ourselves in unselfish love. When I look at things from that perspective the other things fall into place. When I look from the eyes of love there comes a peace (inner calm) that settles over my spirit. That peace turns my failures into thankfulness. Without that love I am left in a place of chaos and anger. That love brings me such peace, no matter the situation. If you like me find yourself on the edge of spiritual unease turn on the old LOVE spicket and let that be your guide stone. Fill your heart with God’s love and let it permeate your entire being. The world will work so much better, easier, more joyful when we do.

Whatever you do (no matter what it is) in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus (and in dependence on him), giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3: 17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

God’s love for me is my guiding light. It shows me the way even on the darkest nights. My prayer today is that his love-light shines through everything I do.

Love, Pam
