I Wasn't Feeling It This Morning
I wasn’t feeling it this morning. Just could not find a lot of inspiration to wake up my get up and go mode.
The house was quiet, even the dogs were asleep. My soul, however, was restless, and pondering the week’s events. It has been disturbing and stressful to say the least. I have seen an uptick of people needing assistance. A huge wave of people. I’m not the only one, my cohorts in several other resource groups have voiced the same thing. Truthfully, we are worried. Last week the people came to us, worried, needing help but not hopeless. This week the new seekers are angry, full of hard language, and worse attitudes. Their posture has been one of a demand, an accusation that we are required to fix their problems. We knew that when the Government vouchers that were being handed out ran out this would be the end results. I don’t have any answer to this issue. If the bank vaults were opened and we were invited in, it would not be enough nor would it fix this problem. Some days I think that this is the exact end result that the powers that be wanted, well, it is here and, on our doorsteps, and it is ugly mad and entitled. Pray for all of us who find ourselves in the middle of this.
