Time to Come Out of the Shadows

Time to come out of the shadows, declare our faith, take back the world we live in for Jesus’ sake. Reading this morning about the Apostles. They were on fire for God, they were witnesses to the events, knew the facts, saw the atrocities. Still they showed up, taught in the synagogue , the streets, highways and byways. Arrested, imprisoned, beaten, threatened with death. Still, they showed up, again and again. They taught, it doesn’t say they preached, they taught. Teaching is an interactive event. It’s on a personal level. Tell, show, explain, model the action. They were flogged, threatened, ordered NOT to speak in the name of Jesus. Know what happened? Next day there they were. They showed up, they continued to speak of the good news of Jesus. Every. Single. Day.

No more going quietly, staying silent, hiding in plain sight. I will rejoice that I have been considered worthy to suffer shame for the sake of his name. Dare to join me? It will be ok. The consensus of the powers that were was that “If it is of God, you cannot stop them. For if it is you may find yourself fighting against God.” How can we not rejoice? We must boldly share the good news.

Let’s do it!

Love. Pam
