Have You Ever Had Hands Laid on You?

Have you ever had hands laid on you? In the biblical sense. My Granddaddy use to sit me beside him when he prayed for the family. It might have been to keep me in “hands” reach but most of the time sometime during his prayers he would lay his hand on top of my head, the comfort and love the weight of his hand resting on my head imparted is still felt today. My precious John would often place both of his hands on my head and just rest them there for a few moments, and I would stand so very still immersed in his love, he never prayed out loud, but I knew he was talking to God about me. Sometimes he’d take my head in his hands and yell “HEAL!” and for some reason it reset the air in the room. Whatever was the trouble seem to slink off with it’s tail tucked and I was good to go.

The disciples did the same thing, they brought those that they were commissioning and dedicating for service together. Prayed for them. Laid hands on them before sending them out to spread the good news. It was a Holy experience.

Hugs have always been hard for me. I do not know why. I have learned that they are a blessing both to me and to the other person who is being hugged. Who knew I would ever be a hugger but I am. I may not “lay hands” on you ( I might if you push the wrong button) but I will hug you tight enough and as long as you want. It is like medicine to my soul. Know that it is my hearts prayer to heaven for you.

Make the connection. Don’t just pray for someone today. If given the chance give them a big tight heart hug. Get close enough, long enough and tight enough that part of their burden is lifted.

If you ever get the opportunity to “Lay hands” on someone, DO IT! It is a Holy thing.

I have a few extra hugs if anyone would like one or two. Come and get them. They are free.

Love, Pam
