Matthew 13:58

Do You Need a Miracle Today?

Do you need a miracle today? Do you know someone who needs one or maybe even two? Do you ever feel like everyone else gets miracles why not you? Do you even believe in miracles? Believing in miracles is different than believing in God or Jesus or the bible. Miracles are things that for us are impossible, unexplainable, beyond human realms, They are not something we can hold in our hands, examine or even begin to understand. They are for lack of a better word “miracles”.

There was a time when even Jesus, the maker of miracles couldn’t and didn’t do miracles. Don’t believe me read Matthew 13:58And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.. It says And he did not do many miracles there ( in Nazareth)… here’s the scoop… “Because of THEIR unbelief.” It’s hard to believe in our own miracles…we pray for them, we want them, we are desperate for them but something gets in the way. Are WE the reason WE don’t get more miracles? Are we standing in the way? Miracles are hard to believe in, it’s not logical, not human in it’s origins. We ask but somewhere inside of us is that little dark thought. Maybe is it that feeling of unworthiness? That not being enough to merit such a thing? Is it a tiny little seed of doubt? Unbelief takes on many voices and comes in many different disguises.

God said, “Seek and you will find.” “Ask and it will be given to you” That’s it. He didn’t tell us that we had to KNOW God’s will on the subject, accepting of it, yes, in line with it, yes. Jump through hoops? Nope. Do great deeds? Nope. Not even make him promises.
Seek and Ask. Then our job is to BELIEVE!!! Slam the door on those thoughts of what if. BELIEVE! Full Stop.

I’ve got a couple of miracles that I am praying for, I know they are coming. Right now, I am resting in the knowledge that they are on their way, I’m standing at the door watching for them. One of these days I’m going to say “Look at that!! I told you so.”

My prayer for each of us today is that we get out of the way of the miracles God wants to give us.

Love, Pam
