I Almost Did Something Terrible This Morning
I almost did something terrible this morning… almost. I sat down with a heavy heart and a troubled spirit. I got up. Started my weekend chores, dog beds first into the hot water and lots of detergent and vinegar. They sure did smell bad. Moved on to picking up the things we had dropped along the way during this week’s rush. Had a conversation about bread and cats. Now here I am catching my breath before I drag out the heavy artillery for these pathetic floors. I suddenly took a look at my week. I survived. I still love Jesus. I still have food to eat, a warm bed to sleep in, nice clean clothes to wear.I have animals who appear to tolerant me and more than that need what I have to offer. My bones still ache. They also still pick me up and carry me where I need to go. I have friends to call and sunrises to see, the air is cool on my skin and the collards have decided to grow.
I have so much to be thankful for! Who knew. This week was just another opportunity to serve. The devil is still a liar, he also didn’t even score a point because I still give God the Glory, great things he has done.
I sent the mullygrubs on a long trip South. It’s my choice as to how I remember this week, it will be the week that I made it through with a smile on my face and my hand held firmly by the only one who matters.
I pray that your week was as wonderful as mine.
Now back to work.
Love, Pam
