Luke chapter 4
If You Know Me Then You Know That I Am a Question Asker
If you know me then you know that I am a question asker. I don’t take anything at face value. Nothing has changed. I am struggling with something that I know little about. I frankly have never been able to wrap my head and definitely not my heart around.
Demons. Fallen angels. The fact that God himself cast them down to earth, the very earth he created for his creations. We are one of those. I know that they are very real, that they have been here and will remain here until God decides it’s time to toss them. I know that his power is perfect and undefeatable. I know lots of things about them but don’t understand them.
I do know that when I was a child, they hid themselves, they walked in shadows, they did not go boldly in the day. Not anymore! They walk freely, proudly, in the daylight. They are smug and haughty, roaming freely devouring everyone in their path.
I am reading Luke chapter 4And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. …. This is the temptation chapter. The Devil tells Jesus that this realm and glory belongs to him, has been handed over to him and he can give it to anyone he so chooses, all it takes is to worship him. So many of us have taken him up on this offer before we looked at the fine print on the bottom of the contract. That balloon payment is coming and it’s a doozy.
The thing that keeps me grounded, lets my soul rest in peace at night is that God himself has commanded his angels concerning me, to guard and protect little ole me. That they WILL lift me up on their hands so that I don’t even strike my foot against a stone.
I see so many bent over carrying their demons everywhere they go. If that is you give them a toss. You have the power to do that just by turning your face toward Jesus. Claim your angels. No, it won’t be all sunshine and rainbows. The devil will always be slipping and sliding trying to win you back but it’s your choice. It’s worth the struggle.
And as for the ‘demons’ I see you. Time is running out.
Love, Pam
